Well it looks we’ll be releasing our self-titled EP on December 11 – compiling the five singles we’ve released so far – “Break Through”, “Safety Deposit Box”, “Live Action, “Under The Thunder”, and “I’m Givin”. The EP will be available for stream/download on all major streaming services and at foolsunion.com. We  are currently still hard at work on a new batch of songs – like everyone else, COVID-19 has put a bit of a dent in the plans we had for 2020 but we’re chugging along and we hope to release some new music in early 2021, fingers crossed! In the meantime you can get all of our singles in one place on December 11 – talk about a great Christmas present!

Happy Labour Day from Fool’s Union! We just wanted to check in and say hello, it’s been a strange year for us as it has been for a lot of people, but we’re rolling with the punches! We actually got together last week for our first rehearsal since all the COVID-19 shit hit the fan back in March, and it felt so good to play together again. Thankfully, this pandemic hasn’t slowed down our creativity – we’ve written a ton of new songs, are close to completing five new tunes we started recording before COVID hit, and we have a bunch of new songs being worked out in the rehearsal room. Of course it’s still a huge bummer that we can’t get out and play shows, but hopefully that will happen again in due time. Either way, we got lots of new songs coming your way and we think you’ll dig em!

We hope everyone has a relaxing Labour Day and continues to stay safe out there!

It’s been a rough couple of months for everyone as we adjust to life to in the age of COVID-19, and as musicians we really miss jamming and playing live! Since it’s the May 2-4 long weekend, we thought we’d celebrate by dropping a live video! Click below to watch “Live Action” recorded live at WTFest in Brantford in July 2019! Like everyone else is in the world right now, we are all in self isolation at home to help stop the spread of COVID-19. To keep everybody entertained and to stave off our boredom, we’ve taken to social media to do some fun stuff!

This week, Dave posted the very first episode of the Fool’s Union podcast, where he breaks down his must watch picks from Netflix to check out while you’re hanging out at home, We’ll keep posting new episodes about different topics so keep your eyes peeled on our Instagram!

Armed with his acoustic guitar, Nick has been posting a new series of videos called Isolation Songs, where he has been playing both original songs and cover tunes for all you self isolaters out there, including our new single “I’m Givin”! Head over to our Instagram to keep up with all the tuneage!

It’s a been a really weird time lately with all the COVID-19 stuff happening – a lot of concerts and events have been cancelled and we’re super bummed to have to add our upcoming shows to the pile. Social distancing and self isolation are of utmost importance right now to keep everybody healthy and safe, so gathering for rock shows is probably not the best idea right now. We were really pumped to get out there and rock out, and we’ll definitely be re-booking these shows once the dust settles:

• April 3 at The Atria, Oshawa w/Doghouse Rose
• April 30 at the Bovine, Toronto

We hope to get back out there soon, in the meantime, everybody stay safe out there!

We can’t tell you how excited we are to shake off this winter weather, get out and start playing some shows, and we have another one to add to the list: we’ll be opening for DOGHOUSE ROSE at THE ATRIA in Oshawa on Friday, April 3! We’re super pumped to be getting back out to Oshawa, we had a great time when we played there last! We’ve never played with Doghouse Rose before, but from all accounts they are kick ass, so this should be a solid night of rock! Doors at 8pm, 19+

Songs can take many forms on their way to the final version people hear on record, and for us we like to strike while the iron’s hot and get an idea down while it’s still fresh. Nick came up with the idea for “I’m Givin” over 10 years ago, and we’ve demoed the song many times over the years. The demo presented here is the very first demo recorded way back in the day, on a cheap microphone on some dodgy computer – but the main melody and drive of the song is already there. When we recorded our first batch of songs as Fool’s Union, “I’m Givin” finally got it’s chance to shine and became one of the songs we really wanted everyone to hear. Big show news kids! We’re heading back to Toronto to rock the Bovine Sex Club on April 30! What’s even better? We’re going to be joined by some stellar bands that will no doubt make for a most triumphant night of rock ‘n’ roll – Pink Leather Jackets, Killer Virgins, and Uforia! Now that “I’m Givin” is out in the world and rocking playlists on a galactic level, we’re ready to get out there and flex our rock ‘n’ roll muscles. Trust me, they’re huge.
